When Nature Calls is a comedic and thought provoking premium documentary series following 2–4 wildlife control and rescue specialists responding to emergency calls involving dangerous or invasive animals entering human environments. Each episode begins with a real incoming call and follows the wildlife experts as they investigate, capture, rescue, relocate, or remove animals ranging from snakes, spiders, squirrels, lizards, hornets, bobcats, raccoons, bats, and birds.

Interwoven with the wildlife emergencies are ongoing stories about the experts' businesses, families, urban expansion narratives, personal struggles, and the larger ecosystem of people living and working at the intersection of humanity and the natural world.
